Gongchun | 【Special Price, Entirely Handmade · Traditional Craftsmanship · Capacity 150cc · Duanni Clay】

Every Yixing teapot enthusiast has a Gongchun teapot in their heart. In the history of Chinese Yixing teaware, Gongchun was a pioneering figure. His surname was Gong, and his given name was Gongchun. During the Zhengde era of the Ming dynasty, Gongchun accompanied the Presented Scholar Wu Yishan to Jinshan Temple as a study attendant. He took the hand-washing clay that had settled at the bottom of the old monk's basin and, taking inspiration from the burl of the large ginkgo tree in the temple, created the “Gongchun teapot,” whose raised finger-like spiral patterns could be pressed. The Gongchun teapot surpasses gold and jade. Welcome to collect and enjoy it.
