Han Huiqin, National Senior Arts and Crafts Artist
Born in 1969 in Yixing, the pottery capital on the shores of Taihu Lake, Han Huiqin developed a love for purple clay art from an early age. In 1987, she became a student of senior master craftsman Yin Xiaorong, engaging in the production and creation of purple clay works. She later received guidance from masters Wang Yinxian and Wu Ming, gaining a deeper understanding of both craftsmanship and artistic creation. Firmly committed to inheriting and advancing the art, she draws inspiration from the past while forging ahead, incorporating diverse ideas. With a clear design philosophy and meticulous craftsmanship, she gradually developed a distinctive personal style that has earned deep appreciation from purple clay enthusiasts.
