New 270 cc teapot, made by Master Xu Guanxin, the last disciple of Master Pan Chunfang, and decorated by Master Zhang Zhenghai, a Chinese Ceramic Art Master, titled【Live and Work in Peace and Contentment】!
This teapot has a simple, classical form with clean, lively lines, while retaining a dignified, generous presence. It is finely crafted from premium blended purple clay from the old No. 1 factory, giving it a substantial feel in the hand. The overall piece is full of vitality and exudes an imposing elegance.
The body is decorated with enamel painting. One side features chrysanthemums in full bloom alongside graceful quails, creating an enchanting scene. Chrysanthemums are believed to purify the body and replenish vital energy; because they bloom in late autumn and remain fresh for a long time, they symbolize longevity. The Chinese word for chrysanthemum, "菊," is also a homophone of "居," meaning residence. Quails carry the cultural symbolism of living and working in peace and contentment, as well as peace and prosperity throughout the country. The back features vibrant green bamboo, echoing the theme.
